'How I Met Your Mother' is a comedy about Ted (Josh Radnor) and how he fell in love. It all started when Ted's best friend, Marshall (Jason Segel), dropped the bombshell that he was going to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Lily (Alyson Hannigan), a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realized that he had better get a move on if he also hopes to find true love. Helping him in his quest is Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), a friend with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions, a penchant for suits and foolproof ways to pick up women. When Ted meets Robin (Cobie Smulders), he is sure it is love at first sight, but destiny may have something else in store. The series is narrated through flashbacks from the future.

I originally decided to watch the show because of Alyson Hannigan.  The pilot had me hooked.   Now, in an era where sitcoms are a dying breed, I happily watch the show every Monday.  It's witty. It's cute and I love each and every one of the characters.  I can relate to them from Lily wanting to do 'grown up activities' and realizing she's not ready to 'grow up', to the impromptu sword fight, and Barney's...well Barney, just being Barney.  The show is in Barney's words "Legendary" and I hope it continues for many seasons.
