About
Guam was ceded to the US by Spain in 1898. Captured by the Japanese in 1941, it was retaken by the US three years later. The military installation on the island is one of the most strategically important US bases in the Pacific. More?

Why I love Guam
My dad was in the Airforce for many years and my parents were stationed on the island.  I was lucky enough to be born on the Naval Base there.  My parents always had the best stories: snorkeling, the weather, Two Lover's Point, etc.  I used to spend hours looking through the pictorial book my parents brought back with them.  So far I have not been lucky enough to visit, but I plan to do it eventually.
